Building Works
I am very pleased to share with you that our building works commenced on Monday, as forecast. This week the fence has been constructed and clear-out has commenced. The new carpet tiles have been saved and will be used in another area of the school. This is certainly a very exciting time for the whole St Mary's School and Parish Community. The plans for the building works can be viewed in the School Office foyer.
Thank you!
I would like to thank Catherine, Dave and Georgina Culley for organising the division and delivery of P&F sausages and steak. The bacon will be defrosted and distributed at a later date. Your effort is very much appreciated!
Thank you to Reane Strode for organising the Kindergarten 100 Club Fundraiser. If you haven't purchased a number yet this can be done on QKR!. The winner will be drawn on Friday - stay tuned.
School Access
From now on, there will be no front step access to the Office. Those who need to see Belinda or me will need to come through the Old Hall and use the internal stairs.
Morning temperature checks will continue in the Old Hall. Students will enter through the main doors and exit through the side door. In the afternoon the bus lines will be held in the Old Hall. If you are waiting to collect your child, and it is not raining or too cold, in the interest of maintaining social distancing for adults, we ask you to please wait outside, either near the library entrance or Mary statue. We will send your child to you.
Please remember that whilst we are faced with COVID-19, we request that all adult access is limited in the school grounds. This means that unless you have a need to visit the office or have a pre-arranged appointment, we kindly ask that you do not come into the school grounds. This is for the health and safety of our students and staff. Thank you for respecting this request.
Lost Property and Naming of Clothes
Please ensure that all pieces of clothing and other items sent to school are well named so we can return pieces to their owners quickly.

Please spread the word about our School Tours. If you know someone who is interested in learning more about St Mary's or who has a child ready to start Kindergarten in 2021, we welcome their visit. Social distancing regulations will be put in place for our tours.

Holy Trinity Sunday
This coming Sunday, we celebrate Trinity Sunday – God continues to reveal Himself to us in the Holy Trinity:-
FATHER (The creator whose presence is revealed in all of creation),
SON (Jesus - who was created out of love by the Father for us),
HOLY SPIRIT (The total and never-ending love between the Father and the Son which is also poured out for us).
As can be seen in the images below, the Trinity is a divine, loving relationship between the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
It is like three notes that combine to make one musical chord – each makes an equally profound contribution to the whole.
It is like a three-leaf clover, each leaf an equal and contributing part of the whole.
The Father, Son and Spirit have always been ONE; a divine love, seeking the same good – inviting us to share in this loving relationship. We are all invited to allow the gift of Father, Son and Spirit touch our lives.
As our journey through life continues, the Holy Spirit gradually reveals God’s message so that it speaks to us at appropriate times in our lives, revealing more, and guiding us to God.
Have you ever met a person who has accepted and opened themselves up to the Holy Spirit? You can see the fruits of the Holy Spirit working in them – regardless of whether they are well or unwell, happy or sad, wealthy or poor, they radiate the following:
Love – the kind of love that drives one to want and work for the good of others without seeking reward.
Joy - happiness and contentment that is not dependent on circumstances.
Peace – peace that comes even when circumstances are far from tranquil. Freedom from fear and worry about finances, safety, salvation, and eternal life.
Patience - withstanding challenging situations with perseverance and endurance. Being completely humble and gentle; patient, bearing with others in love.’ Ephesians 4:1-2
Kindness - having moral integrity with kindness and not getting trapped in self-righteousness judgement.
Goodness - uprightness of heart and life, doing good and kind things.
Faithfulness - dependability and trust based on confidence in God and His eternal love for us.
Gentleness - mildness of disposition, humbleness of heart (like Jesus)
Self-control –control of one’s body and its appetites and desires – physically and mentally.
Prayer is a time of allowing the gift of the Holy Trinity - Father, Son and Spirit - reach deeply into our lives. Prayer helps us to grow in love, in friendship, in understanding of the ways of God. The Spirit assists us, revealing God’s message, helping us to recognise how our way of living conforms to what God our Father asks of us and revealing how it does not. Jesus, the Son, shows us the right way through His life example.
May we grow in appreciation that we are created, loved and made holy by the continuing action and presence of the Holy Trinity.

Information from CECG Sports Coordinator Sherree Bush
Finance have begun the process of refunding Canberra Goulburn, MacKillop and CCC levies to parents for sporting events that have been cancelled.
As you can imagine this is an arduous task with many refunds to be processed and has had to go through a lengthy process of differing levels of approvals within our finance department. With the new website also comes new processes for refunds so is a new system for our finance department to learn.
One person within the finance department is in charge of manually performing these refunds so all in all will take her around two weeks to work through them all. Parents also need to remember that once she has allocated their refund it usually takes a couple of days before the money lands in their account.
We do apologise for the time taken for this to happen.
