Principal Talk with Mrs. Sally-Anne Croker
ANZAC Day
ANZAC Day falls at the end of the holidays on Thursday, 25 April. We invite all students to participate in the ANZAC Day events.
St Mary's students are invited to march and lay wreaths at this year's Crookwell, Grabben Gullen and Taralga ANZAC Day services.
Students participating in the Grabben Gullen event are to assemble at 9:00am within the grounds of the Grabben Gullen Community Hall.
Students participating in the Crookwell events are asked to assemble for the March in the RSL car park from 10.40am. The March will move down Goulburn Street to the Memorial Park for the ANZAC Day Commemoration Ceremony. Students remain assembled until this Ceremony concludes.
Our students who wish to participate in the Taralga March and Commemorative Service are asked to assemble at the northern end of the main street, near Taralga Public School at 2.30pm. The children will march down the street to the Cenotaph for the Commemorative Service and wreath-laying. After this, our assembled group will disperse before the Memorial Hall program.
Students are required to come dressed in their full winter uniform.
Seeing many of our students at these special ceremonies would be wonderful.
Toys at School
We have recently noticed an increasing number of toys being brought to school. Please be aware that it is school policy that toys brought to school are the child's responsibility. The school does not take any responsibility for lost or broken toys.
We also request that toys that do not fit inside the student's bag not be sent to school. We have found that carting large toys to our play spaces is challenging for all students
Uniform Matters
As the term draws to close, uniform pieces accidentally get mixed up between students. Please check all your uniform items at home to ensure they belong to your family. Please ensure you have all your children's uniform items labelled.
Next term, the students are to wear their full winter uniform from the beginning of the Term.
In preparation for the cooler months, you might order our school coat, a warm bottle green parka-style coat, from our Uniform Shop. Bottle green gloves and beanies may be purchased elsewhere.
Some other reminders about our school uniform- hair accessories must be in the school colours only, earrings must be sleepers and studs and no nail polish is to be worn to school.
School shoes must be black. Jogger-type footwear will not be accepted as school uniform.
Enrolling now for 2025
The School Explorers Program
A kind reminder to ensure your school fee account is up to date as we head to the end of term.
Fees can be paid using the BPAY details on your latest statement, via the Parent Portal in Compass, cash or cheque. Sometimes payments are easier when set up as a regular payment.
If you would like to discuss your school fee account, please do not hesitate to contact Belinda or Sally.

Easter Reflection
We come to a place of prayer and take the time to become aware of being in God’s presence. We may wish to consider our Lenten journey, or perhaps ponder briefly on what Holy Week has shown us or taught us this year.
We consider the unleavened bread Jesus used at the Last Supper. Jesus, the Bread of Life, wants us to be completely united with him. He sacrificed himself for this.
In what way then can we come to celebrate this feast with greater love and joy? With new life? We turn to the Lord, praying for all those we love that they may have a fuller sharing in this new life.
SRC Update
As a final fundraising effort for Project Compassion, the SRC has organised a cake stall on Wednesday 10 April.
Cakes will be on sale for 50c each.
Thank you in advance for your support of this most worthy project.
