Awards
Individual students will have their points tallied up on Compass and once they reach a target, they earn a School Spirit Certificate that will be presented at a fortnightly Friday morning Assembly. Recipients will be announced in our Newsletter so parents are aware and can be present if they wish.
Dates for your planning
My thanks to our wonderful parents who attended our Parents and Friends Meeting last night. We are always welcoming parents who are willing to be a part of the team that provides such a wonderful school community for all our students. Last night we discussed many dates and events for the coming year. Attached here you will find two documents. One will show you the dates for all school events and the other will show P&F Fundraising events and classes allocated to assist with those.
Please save them for your information.

Congratulations!
We welcome the safe arrival of baby Zara to parents, Ange and Jonno. Her big sister and brother, Anna and Noah were super keen to share the news. Zara was born on 15 February and is just gorgeous.
Privacy Collection Notice for Parents Address Collection
Earlier this week you would have received communication via Compass on the Collection Notice for parents and guardians of the 2024 Student Residential Address. This is an Australian Government requirement.
Under the Australian Education Regulations 2023, the school is required to provide the department with the following information about each student at the school:
names and residential addresses of the student’s parent(s) and/or guardian(s)
student residential address (excluding student names)
whether the student is a primary or secondary student (education level)
whether the student is boarding or a day student (boarding status).
School Fees
Generally, the term school fees are sent out around week 2. Obviously, this term they have been a little delayed. They will be sent out by Head Office to parent email addresses in the coming days, so please keep an eye out.
Regular payments can be sent up using BPAY or Compass.
Any questions, please contact Belinda.

Respect
This Lent we are called to sow seeds of goodness by focusing on our school value and treating each other with RESPECT.
What does the word RESPECT mean? The dictionary says…
…to take notice of;
to regard with honour and special attention;
to regard as worthy of special consideration;
hence, to care for; to heed.
During this Lenten season may we open our hearts to God and welcome him into our lives so we may be filled with his love and reach out to each other with respect, sowing seeds of goodness in our homes, our school and our communities.
Project Compassion
Please remember to give what you can to Project Compassion to help those who do not have enough to live life to the fullest. There is a Project Compassion box for donations in each classroom, our SRC has set a target of $200 for the school to raise which will help homes in the Philippines build toilets.
Student Representative Council
Last Friday, we inducted our new Student Representative Council (SRC) members. Students from Years 2-6 will work alongside our executive team to implement initiatives that raise awareness of those who are less fortunate, and organise fundraising events. The SRC will have its first meeting this Friday and will publish its first newsletter article next week, stay tuned…

Tuckshop is open on Monday and Friday throughout the term. Orders are placed by the Qkr! app.
Please note- hot food must be ordered and can't be bought over the counter. This ensures we do not have food wastage.
Over the counter cash sales can be placed for dry food items (packets of chips, eucalyptus drops, etc) and cold food (icecreams, zooper doopers,etc) and drinks.
If you require assistance with the Qkr app, please see Belinda.
If you cannot do your rostered date, please organise your replacement yourself and advise Belinda of the update to ensure we have a correct copy of the roster.
If you are keen to help, please click on the following link to complete the form. More hands mean less work! Tuckshop is a great way to meet other parents. Thanks to our new volunteers, we really appreciate you!
Renovations in the Church- Help Needed
St Mary's Parish and St Mary's School are very excited about the new upcoming renovations to the inside of our Church. It will be repainted and carpeted in April. For this to happen, the pews will need to be removed and some relocated to the school Old Hall for temporary weekend masses.
The Parish is asking for able-bodied members of the community to assist with the removal of the pews on Sunday 17 March.
Please contact the Parish Office (number below) if you are able to assist.
