Principal Talk with Mrs. Sally-Anne Croker

Boorowa Touch Football and Netball Carnival

I would like to thank everyone involved with the Boorowa Touch Football and Netball Carnival last Friday. It was a fantastic day filled with competition, teamwork, and most importantly, a lot of fun.

Thank you to our School Sports Coordinator, Mrs Annie Cummins, for all the effort she put in organising St Mary's teams to participate in the carnival. I would also like to acknowledge the contributions of our school staff members and parent volunteers who generously gave their time and energy to help during the carnival. Your dedication and willingness to contribute to our school community are deeply appreciated.

Last but certainly not least, a round of applause goes to our students! Their sportsmanship, enthusiasm, and respect for fellow competitors were exemplary throughout the event.

The carnival was not about winning or losing but learning, growing, and 'having a go'. These events provide valuable life lessons that foster character development, teamwork, and a sense of belonging to our school community.

Community Council/P&F Working Group

Next Tuesday 4 November we hold our Term 4 meetings for our Community Council and the P&F Working Group. Please consider joining us at the P&F meeting and become active members of our school community. We love fresh ideas!

Drinks and nibbles on the menu for these meetings !!

Community Council at 6pm and P&F to follow at 7pm in the Staffroom.

CONGRATULATIONS

We are thrilled to celebrate a wonderful achievement within our school community. Mrs Stephanie Knight has officially gained her Provisional Accreditation as a teacher — a significant milestone that marks the beginning of an exciting

and rewarding journey in education.

Stephanie.jpgThis accomplishment reflects Stephanie’s dedication, perseverance, and pas

sion for teaching. Her commitment to professional growth and her positive impact on students and colleagues alike make this recognition well deserved.

We are proud to have Stephanie as part of our team at Crookwell

and look forward to supporting her as she continues to grow and thrive in her teaching career.

Please join us in congratulating Mrs Knight on this outstanding achievement!

Northern Region Chess Competition

Today we had four representatives from St Mary's at the annual Northern Region Chess Competition, held at Mt Carmel in Yass. Harley White, Jobe Seaman, Cooper Sims and Sidney Bush competed against Mt Carmel, St Gregory's, Ss Peter & Paul's and St Joseph's students across four rounds. The competition was fierce and the boys should be proud. Well done to Sid for placing 3rd in the Year 3 competition!

Grandparents Day

Tomorrow, 31 November, we invite our parents, carers, grandparents and special friends to St Mary's to share our Grandparents Day. The day will commence with Mass at 9.30am. Following Mass we will remain in the Church for our Awards Assembly where we will also present the Term Four SRC class reps with their badges. After that our visitors are invited to visit with their grandchildren in their classrooms and see some of their wonderful work. Following that we will move to the MP Hall for morning tea. After morning tea the STEM Fair will commence in various venues around the school.

Also, St Mary's is renowned for its incredible morning tea spreads; let us not disappoint this year. We ask families to donate a plate of food to share on this special day and possibly support with the setting up and serving of morning tea.
