Year 3 Launches into STEM Fun!
Last week, our brilliant Year 3s really catapulted themselves into STEM learning — and it was a marble-ous time for all!
Armed with paddle pop sticks, straws, paper plates and boundless imagination, students kicked off their engineering adventures by designing and building intricate marble mazes. With plenty of twists, turns and creative detours, there were gasps of delight (and a few dramatic marble escapes!) as their designs came to life.
The next challenge — building working catapults! With rubber bands, styrofoam cups, plastic spoons, and a healthy dose of trial and error, students engineered ping pong ball flingers that took flight across the classroom. The energy was electric as teams fine-tuned their launchers for maximum distance and precision.
