On Wednesday 26th October, 17 St Mary’s students ventured to North Park Goulburn to compete in the Gilbert/Croker Legends of League Gala Day. A year 3/4 team and 5/6 team braved the wind, rain, and often larger opponents to play 4 games each. The students played exceptionally well and demonstrated good sportsmanship, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude. I was impressed to see the St Mary’s children play as a team and support their ‘mates’, especially the Year 3/4 team stepping up to make the numbers for our senior team. Behaviour on the day was exceptional and everyone enjoyed the carnival atmosphere.

A big thank you to all the parents who transported the children, attended, and supported our students on the day. A special shout out to Kim Croker and Tom Croker who coached the Year 5/6 team, along with Dan and Jayde Costello and Cole Davis who coached and managed the Year 3/4 team. The students appreciated your time and efforts!
